„We from Sender Berlin believe that music sounds different in each listener‘s ears: therefore infinitely great musical understanding is possible.“
With this idea, Sender Berlin have approached other musicians to present their own re-interpretations of Sender Berlin‘s „Spektrum Weltweit“ album tracks. Split across two releases are two maxi-singles, one via Tresor and one on Sender Berlin‘s own label, unGleich featuring „Spektrum Weltweit“ interpretations from six different talents. Tresor 140 features reworkings by two Underground Berlin talents Double X and Direction Indicator as well as Japan‘s DJ Shufflemaster in a release that will definitely turn heads in the coming years. Aspect of the ‚Spektrum‘: DJ Shufflemaster totally deconstructs „Zeitsignal“ in his storming reinterpretation, pushing urgency in a hectic floor attack. Direction Indicator‘s reworking abstracts the original „Nana 07“, tinged with dark mood of sensual electronic buildup and release: an evolved and solid groove at a depth far beyond normal club disposability. Double X (unGleich Records, Berlin), composed of members from Sender Berlin and DisX3, have entirely rewritten and restructured a masterful composition of tone, percussive balance and ever-changing structure into a melodious floor-filler. send a friend an email about this! || this 12" is not in stock || Tracks:
